For almost two years Ernesto has been lending his voice to experimental music projects. Frontiers Magazine described him as "The most exciting and flamboyant personality to shake up the opera world since Klaus Nomi" and Italian newspaper La Repubblica called him "a leading figure in avant-garde circles with his seducing high voice". In 2007 he begun an ongoing artistic relationship with composer OTHON and he has sung and recorded with Fabrizio Modonese Palumbo (Larsen), Andrew Liles (Nurse With Wound) and, more recently, he has performed live with Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson (Coil) and Current 93.
